Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 September 2026 · Reno Studio
Reno Studio (“we”, “us”) runs RenoStudio. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and your choices.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and login method. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- Room photos, floor plans and descriptions you upload or type into the studio, and the designs you create from them. Photos can show your home and anything or anyone in view, so please avoid including people or sensitive documents.
- Billing records: your plan, credit balance and a ledger of credit use. Stripe collects your payment details. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage information: pages visited, features used, device and browser details, collected with Google Analytics cookies, plus server logs we keep for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To run the studio: reconstruct and render your rooms, produce exports and keep your account and credits working.
- To take payments and manage subscriptions, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
- To support you, and to send service emails such as receipts and important changes.
- To understand how RenoStudio is used, so we can improve it.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use your photos to train AI models.
Who we share it with
We use these providers to run RenoStudio. They may store or process your information outside Australia, mainly in the United States:
- OpenAI receives your photos, floor plans and descriptions when you run an AI reconstruction or edit. Our requests ask OpenAI not to store them for later use. OpenAI’s API terms say API data isn’t used to train its models.
- Google Cloud and Firebase host sign-in, your account and billing records, and the files our render workers produce.
- Stripe processes payments and manages subscriptions.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Google Analytics measures site usage.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our users or the service.
How long we keep it
- Rooms, photos and designs you save in the studio are stored in your own browser on your device. They stay there until you delete them or clear your browser data.
- Files sent to our render workers are deleted within 1 day. Finished outputs, such as renders, design packs and 3D files, are deleted after 30 days, so download anything you want to keep.
- Account and billing records are kept while your account is open, then for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Security
Your files are stored in private cloud storage. You can only reach them through short-lived links issued to your signed-in account. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.
- You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser settings. The studio still works without them.
- You can use the manual design tools without uploading any photos.
Email hello@renostudio.ai with any request or complaint. We’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the studio or by email. See also our Terms of Service.
